Received an odd error message when trying to restore an SSP from one farm to another as follows when trying to navigate to the SSP Administration site:

This page is accessible only from an SSP admin site.

Searching the web, came across quite a few other people who had the same issue, but no fixes!

We tried four things, (1) was to run the following:

stsadm.exe -o editssp -title <ssp_name> -sspadminsite <ssp_url>:<ssp_port>/ssp/admin

(2) Restore the SSP again (no joy either).

(3) Detach and reattach the content database for the SSP administration site (still no joy).

(4) Do an IISReset - which s'prisingly worked!
